In one word, very! The All Stars JOY features a clever and unique folding system that allows it to be both easy to fold and extremely durable and strong. As the playpen is folded out the cross members between each of the bars raise up to the underside of top rim. This means the playpen remains rigid even when in use. Couple this with the legs that sit at a slight angle and you have a playpen that's incredibly sturdy.
The JOY is super easy to put up and take down. Simply fold the playpen out from it's native shape until you hear a click that locks it into place, then to take down simply lift the 2 red clips and push the button down pull the sides in slightly, then grab the mat in the centre and pull upwards.
Yes the handrail that runs around the rim of the playpen is very well padded. It will provide plenty of protection for your baby.
The playpens fitted mat is not particularly thick, it is designed to be more of a ground sheet for outdoors use or to prevent marking carpets or flooring. The mat has a slight element of thickness but if your planning on using this on tiled or wood flooring extra padding could be considered to be used underneath the playpen, such as a blanket or foam playmats.
Yes, the All Stars JOY comes with a handy travel bag that allows the playpen to be taken out and about. The overall size of the bag with the playpen inside is approx 76cm in height and 28cm in diameter and it's light enough to be easily carried over the shoulder!
The whole playpen is designed with wipe clean materials making it very easy to wipe up stains and spills. Simply use a damp cloth and give the playpen a wipe over when needed.
